I grew up in Amarillo Texas; attended Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics (B.S., Spanish and Italian) and spent a summer abroad in Ecuador and a summer abroad in Italy; worked on Capitol Hill for a Texas congressman.

Master's Degree from Fairfield University, Marriage and Family Therapy (M.A.); CT State Licensed practioner (LMFT); Member of Association of American Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT and CTMFT). I have a certificate in domestic violence and sexual abuse training from the Center for Women and Families; I also have a certificate in Level II Reiki energy work. I am currently working toward a certificate in EFT Couples Therapy (Emotionally-Focused Therapy).

Business experience includes working for The New Yorker Magazine in promotion and sales for five years; for Marketing Corporation of American (Decker Decker & Freas) and for my own public relations company, whose clients included Geoffrey Beene, Martha, Self Magazine, etc.

I've explored my creative side by winning a Parson's scholarship to study photography in Paris; writing a children's book Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, (published by Simon Schuster); designing a couture collection of women's clothing; appearing in a walk-on role in a soap opera (All My Children); and studying for a garden design certificate at New York Botanical Gardens.

Life experiences include marriage, divorce, children, remarriage, a blended family.
