Therapy - good therapy - is a confidential conversation, a connection, between two (or
more) human beings; both are "experts" - the client is the expert on his or
her life and experience, and the therapist has special training and
education --special expertise -- that can offer the client a new
perspective, and a new approach to problem solving. During this
"conversation", both the client and the therapist learn somthing new.
A session is usually 50 minutes long; the number of visits is the minimum number it takes
for you to feel confident that something has shifted or resolved.
